About Foodfolio
Foodfolio is a social dining journal: a place to record the restaurants you visit, in your own words, and to share that perspective with people who care about eating well.
Why we built it
Most review sites reduce a meal to a single score in a ranking. Foodfolio starts from the diner instead. A review here is a record of the whole experience — the room, the service, the dishes and your point of view — so it stays useful to you and to the people who follow you.
How reviews work
Every review is written by a Foodfolio member about a place they have eaten. Alongside the written review, members rate three things out of 10:
- Food — the dishes themselves.
- Service — how they were looked after.
- Overall — their verdict on the whole visit.
Reviews reflect the personal opinion of the member who wrote them.
What you can do on Foodfolio
- Write reviews with photos and keep a personal record of where you have eaten.
- Follow other diners and discover places through their reviews.
- Bookmark restaurants and build a “dream menu” of dishes you want to try.
- Search for restaurants and people, and message other members.
Public reviews from members with public profiles can be read by anyone on our reviews page. Private profiles and their reviews are only visible to approved followers.
